Even before the pandemic, the use of high and uncomfortable heels were already diminishing because women are starting to value comfort a lot more. This trend was then accelerated by Covid-19, when we had less in-person events to attend.

Although women’s style has evolved to be much more casual nowadays, high heels will not disappear from our closets. Heels are an essential part of a woman's wardrobe - we feel more elegant when we put them on, and the attitude that we project when we’re in heels cannot be achieved with any other shoe.

However, this is not to say that heels have to be uncomfortable. As women start to prioritize comfort, we don’t need to sacrifice looking and feeling good - Lower or thicker heels can also provide that sense of empowerment and give our outfits that extra touch.
